Greetings Faithful veg growers, and hopefully prospective new ones.....
Yes it's that time of year again for us to be getting our seed boxes out and deciding what to grow this year, hopefully allowing the SHPM to provide a bountiful supply of fresh vegetables and fruit, much requested by our local Community, and always popular with our summer visitors.
We would like to encourage as many of our producers as possible, both old and new, to grow a little extra for this coming season, so we can offer and sustain summer salads and vegetables, not forgetting veg to take us through winter, which would be very much appreciated by our valued local customers.
We intend to display an eye catching notice outside the SHPM shop, to advertise our wares thus encouraging folk to come into the shop to see what's on offer, and hopefully purchase other goods whilst they are there.
Home grown fresh vegetables would be an enormous draw to local customers, as well as they are to our summer visitors, who are often delighted to be able to take our produce home with them at the end of their holiday..so we hope to offer a really good supply and selection in our veg section this season.
Wishing everyone much success in their efforts, hoping all our growers discover the gift and pleasure of having 'green fingers'....so once the winter has blown itself out, lets get planting folks!.
